The Best Head West to Surf the Telstra Drug Aware Pro

Surfing's elite will take on the iconic big waves at Surfer's Point, Margaret River next March to compete in Western Australia's biggest surfing event.

Australian favourites Mick Fanning, Owen Wright and Bede Durbidge are all likely to compete in the 2012 event, along with WA home grown heroes Taj Burrow and Yadin Nicol.

The event will run from March 18 until March 25 and will see some of the world best surfers descend upon Margaret River in an action packed week.

The Telstra Drug Aware Pro will be part of a total package of events during the competition week, with a music and arts festival entertaining visitors to the region around the main surfing event. It is expected that the 2012 Telstra Drug Aware Pro will draw bigger crowds than ever.

Entry to the Telstra Drug Aware Margaret River Pro is free.

A full list of competing surfers will be announced February 2012.
